Bliss Café invites you to its first Community Café of 2015

Bliss Cafe Logo

Community Café Days are hosted twice a month by Bliss Café as an opportunity for all people in our community to come together to create and share a meal. They are inspired by the intention of moving towards a more equitable and inclusive food system and a more transparent and collaborative business culture. The meals are by donation only, allowing all people to participate and pay whatever they can afford.

The first event in 2015 will be Saturday, January 10th from 12-4PM at Mitchell Park!

4 Ways to Engage in Community Café Days:

  1. Farm: Harvest produce at local farm
  2. Cook: Prepare the meal pre-event
  3. Serve: Work the booth during the event
  4. Eat: Join us for a meal during Community Café Days

The Community Café Days will create a culture around connecting with food and the people who make it. The events offer a deeper way to engage through participating in the process of transforming raw, healthy ingredients into a delicious meal each time we eat.

These events are growing roots across the country for a strong and promising foundation of positive change in the future, as we progress towards a fairer, more ethical, transparent business community and culture.  They were inspired by Denise Cerreta, who appeared at the 2013 Central Coast Bioneers Conference and who founded One World Everybody Eats  http://www.oneworldeverybodyeats.org/ .  Bliss Café was the first restaurant to step up and make her idea a reality on the Central Coast.
