Nick Franco is a Cal Poly graduate with 38 years of experience operating and managing parks throughout California. He is the Director of San Luis Obispo County Parks, managing over 14,000 acres of parks, many trail corridors, and three golf courses. Prior to that, he completed a 31-year career with California State Parks throughout coastal California where he served as a ranger in the Santa Monica Mountains, Oceano Dunes, and Big Basin Redwoods and managed preservation of historic adobes in San Juan Bautista, restoration of the Immigration Station on Angel Island and spent 12 years managing the State Parks in San Luis Obispo County including Hearst Castle, San Simeon, Estero Bluffs, Morro Strand, Morro Bay, and Montaña de Oro State Parks.
