Dare To Wear Green – and support Outside Now Nature Academy

On Saturday, March 24 from 6-9 pm, The Oddfellows Hall, 520 Dana Street in SLO, is the place to be for Outside Now Nature Academy’s Second Annual Dare to Wear Green Fundraiser. For the modest ticket price of $20 you can nibble appetizers, enjoy good wine and peruse items for the silent and live auction, including Lasik Eye Surgery, vacation stays, jewelry, art, massages, gift baskets, local wine and even two tickets to the 2012 Central Coast Bioneers Call (805) 801-3352 to make your reservation now.

Outside Now teachers and students used to travel to Marin every year to attend the Bioneers Conference. In 2010, they were thrilled to find a conference in their own backyards! Anyone who attended the 2010 CCBioneers conference at Cal Poly saw the students hard at work doing indigenous fire-starting demonstrations during the lunch breaks each day. At the 2011 conference, they sold hot coffee and tea and muffins from their booth at the entrance of the Vet’s Hall.

Outside Now is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to reconnecting people to the wonders of the natural world.
