Fundraiser party for local filmmaker
On August 10, come have some fun, see a rough cut, and help Brittany App raise funds to finish her much-anticipated documentary “Where There Once Was Water. The party begins at 5:00 pm at the SLO Guild Hall, 2880 Broad Street, San Luis Obispo with food, wine tasting by Tablas Creek and photo ops with critters from Zoo to You. Café Musique will perform and author Florencia Ramirez will be on hand to talk about her book “Eat Less Water.” At 8:15 Brittany will screen her film and ask for feedback from the audience. All of this for only $10! “We are really excited to be at a point in post-production where we can begin to share this story,” says Brittany. This project has truly been a community effort from the very beginning, and we are honored to involve the community in the editing process.”
All donations will go straight into post-production expenses for the film. Per Brittany, “We are aiming to complete the film by November, in time to submit it to our very own San Luis Obispo International Film Festival. If all goes as planned, this would be the most epic World Premiere for the film that we can possibly imagine.”
