How can we all have an electric drive by 2025?
California will need mass consumer adoption of electric vehicles to meet its long-term energy and environmental goals and to improve its economy. However, significant challenges remain to reach mass adoption including lack of consumer awareness and information, lack of appeal to a broader market and lack of access to charging infrastructure outside the home. In a workshop on Sunday, October 27 at the Central Coast Bioneers Conference, presenter Ethan Elkind will talk about ways that local governments can promote the adoption of EVs in their communities and the various federal, state and local polices that are needed to reduce barriers to deployment. Ethan is a Climate Policy Associate with UC Berkeley and UCLA Schools of Law, and a lead author on a series of policy reports on business solutions to combat climate change.
