Peace vigil and walk to commemorate Fukushima anniversary

Japanese Buddhist monk Sawada-shonin and Santa Barbara Chumash representative Jimmy Joe left the Santa Barbara Courthouse on March 4 to start their walk to the gates of Diablo Canyon and to the SLO Courthouse lawn.

Please consider joining them for any part of the walk from San Luis Obispo to Diablo Canyon. The group will leave the San Luis Obispo Courthouse at Monterey and Santa Rosa at 9am to walk to Diablo Canyon. On March 11, a vigil at the San Luis Obispo Courthouse will take place from 9am to 5 pm, followed by a dinner and program entitled Fukushima is Everywhere at Steynberg Gallery, 1531 Monterey.
