Plenary Speakers: Gloria Steinem and Paul Stamets to Speak at National Bioneers!

National Bioneers announced Gloria Steinem and Paul Stamets as plenary speakers. This means we, here at the Central Coast Bioneers Conference, will view them as their speeches are streamed in live on Friday morning.

Feminist icon Gloria Steinem is a writer, lecturer, and activist who, for over 40 years, played a major role in the feminist and social justice movements. Among her best selling books are Revolution from Within: A Book of Self-Esteem and Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions, Moving Beyond Words.

Paul Stamets is a master mycologist. Studying fungi for more than 30 years, he has discovered four new species of mushroom. Plus he has written six books on mushroom cultivation, use, and identification. His most recent is Mycelium Running: How Mushrooms Can Help Save the World. As a hiker and explorer, Stamets is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and cloning mushrooms from the Old Growth forests of the Pacific Northwest.
