Thank you Central Coast Bioneers!

Central Coast Bioneers Drumming Session

The 5th annual conference is a wrap. The rain managed to hold off (mixed feelings about that) so we could have a fabulous drumming session with Afia Walking Tree and Michaelle Goerlitz. Big hits from the National Bioneers stage were Eve Ensler (keep eating those apples!), Severine Fleming on the young agrarians and Paul Stamets, the mushroom man.  On the local scene, many thanks to Ken Haggard and his panel, Marco Vangelisti, Serra Hoagland, Charming Evelyn, David Shaw and Ruth Rominger, and our fantastic keynote speakers, John Foran, Corrie Ellis and Summer Gray. We hope all who saw J Nichols’ talk on “I Wish You Water” keeps their blue marbles as a memento.

So many people worked so hard to make this event a success. We could not make it happen without our hardworking volunteers (watch for a February date for our volunteer thank you party at Bliss Café!) and all of the talented speakers and artists who worked for free or almost nothing to provide information, music and visual delights. Thank you all.

For those who attended, please watch later this week for a survey in your in-boxes. It will help us evaluate the new venue, the program and help us make decisions for next year. Your input is important to us.

We are going to take a bit of rest for the upcoming holidays and then start planning our 2015 Critical Conversation Series, so say tuned!
