Tickets on sale soon for Central Coast Bioneers Conference

CCBioneers will be back to the Octagon Barn October 4-5, 2024, and the program is shaping up to be a wonderful and uplifting two days.  Friday will be focused on environmental and climate issues and will feature talks on the slow water movement, how fungi make our world, green economies, solving the climate crisis, NASA’s climate web site and a report on how the Central Coast is reaching its 30×30 goals.  We will show a short film about the epic removal of the Klamath River Dam and the SLO Beaver Brigade will talk about Drinkable Rivers.  The Saturday program will feature social justice issues.  We will have a recorded talk from Bioneers by 92-year-old and still fiery Dolores Huerta, followed by a report from Hollister Guardians on their fight for justice in Hollister.  Other topics will include democracy vs. big tech, the rematriation of native lands, regenerative business, using entertainment to speed the pace of social progress, and a presentation by a Cal Poly student on her research on nature-based solutions for urban injustice in Los Angeles.  All morning on Saturday Five Cities Repair Café will be having a Repair Café in the Milking Parlor next door, so bring your broken items for repair.  Saturday will end will a delicious sensory tasting/wine pairing event which will kick off the fundraising for the new Salinas River Center.  We hope you will join us for this amazing weekend.  Tickets available soon through My805Tix.
