Yi-Hui Wang was born and raised in Taiwan. She received her B.S. in atmospheric sciences at National Taiwan University and her Ph.D. at University of California, Irvine. She worked on the spatiotemporal variability of the large-scale atmospheric circulation and its physical mechanisms behind in graduate school. After graduation, Yi-Hui studied air-sea interaction as a NASA postdoctoral fellow at Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Currently, she is studying offshore wind over the beautiful central coast of California as a researcher at Cal Poly. In addition to doing research, she is a statistics instructor, and is teaching applied statistics at Cal Poly. Before that, she taught introductory statistics at Allan Hancock College.
