CCC-USS featured in latest Ecologistics podcast

Adrienne Garcia-Specht, Steering Committee member of the Central Coast Coalition for Undocumented Student Success speaks about the Coalition’s mission in the latest edition of Ecologistics the Podcast – Where We Question the Status Quo.  Founded in 2015 by staff and faculty from Allan Hancock College, California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), and Cuesta College, the Coalition now includes K-12 representatives.  Members of the Coalition challenge anti-immigrant and oppressive ideologies, institutional practices, and everyday actions that threaten undocumented and historically marginalized communities.  The organization holds “know your rights” trainings, raises funds for DACA renewals, and seeks to create a permanent solution for our Dreamers.  Tune in and hear her story.
