Local renewable energy is within our grasp – come learn how!
Mariel Nanasi’s video presentation from the National Bioneers Conference will be followed by a report by April Price of Santa Barbara’s Community Environmental Council on the CEC’s ongoing efforts on a coalition to move forward 100% renewable energy goals in the San Luis Obispo-Santa Barbara-Ventura region. April’s work with the Community Environmental Council is focused on transitioning the tri-county region to renewable energy sources and reduced energy consumption. She leads CEC’s Solarize program, which facilitates residential solar adoption. She also serves on the utility-funded Local Government Partnership, South County Energy Efficiency Partnership (SCEEP) which is focused on energy efficiency in municipal facilities.
