Reasons to be thankful
We revived our Critical Conversations series in 2025, with well-attended talks by Robin Greenfield, the man who owns nothing, on living more simply, photographer/author Chuck Graham on his adventures paddling around the Channel Islands, and a webinar co-hosted with SLO Climate Coalition on the safety (or lack of it) around battery storage facilities.
Our signature event, the Central Coast Bioneers Conference, was held to rave reviews and featured talks and presentations by four of our sponsored organizations – Central Coast Coalition for Undocumented Student Success, Land Clinic, Rhizome Theater and Improv for Good.
Speaking of sponsored organizations, Ecologistics adopted a record 18 new organizations in 2025, with focuses on a variety of subjects including restoration of old growth forests in the Pacific Northwest, creating nature-based programs in the Midwest, and a community-based initiative that seeks to empower Latina migrant women using art as a tool for healing and transformation in Lompoc. We have great plans for 2026, and so do our sponsored organizations. With your help and generosity we can make it an even better year than 2025. Please consider including Ecologistics in your end-of-year charitable giving. With our low overhead and lean operations, the majority of your donation will go to serving our programs and the programs of our many sponsored organizations.
Thank you and see you next year at one of our events!
