Women’s leadership track at Central Coast Bioneers Conference
Ecologistics is pleased to offer two workshops at the conference Saturday, October 26 that will be of special interest to women.
Asking the question “would you rather thrive financially instead of just survive financially?” Andrea Wasco and Meaghan Gilbert will present a program on the Economic Empowerment of Women. They will discuss the events that lead women to become financially suppressed and solutions to the challenges they face. Andrea and Meaghan teach the popular Economics of Being a Woman seminars in San Luis Obispo. They will be offering a post-conference intensive entitled Financial Education: A Tool for Economically Empowering Women on Saturday November 9 that is open to Central Coast Bioneers attendees at a reduced rate.
Have you ever been curious about what it takes to run for public office? Women in elected office bring new perspectives to issues, which increases the likelihood of conceiving and implementing effective and just solutions to social, economic and environmental problems. Too often women do not see themselves as running for office. They assume they aren’t experienced enough or they don’t know where to begin. Emerge California is changing the face of California politics by training and encouraging women to run for office. Kimberly Ellis, Executive Director of Emerge California will help you explore the steps to candidacy and election.
