Featured CCB Speaker: Gail Sheehy!
On Saturday evening October 15th, noted author Gail Sheehy will share wisdom from her latest New York Times best seller: Passages in Caregiving: Turning Chaos into Confidence at the CCB Conference in San Luis Obispo. The event is a benefit for the Hearst Cancer Research Center and is sponsored by French Hospital and Hospice Partners of the Central Coast. Following the lecture, Sheehy will be available to sign copies of her book.
Sheehy’s presence at this year’s conference is a true honor. Her groundbreaking research has led her to become not just a sought after speaker, but a caregiving ambassador. She teaches us the depths of caregiving from experience, having spent seventeen years supporting her husband who became ill with cancer. Sheehy illuminates the phases of our lives, teaching us to enjoy complex stages to their fullest.
As an author, journalist, and lecturer Sheehy has changed the way people around the world understand and live their lives. She has written 16 books including the groundbreaking Passages, which remained on the NY Times Bestseller list for more than 3 years and has been translated into 28 languages.
