Work day at the Blue C Community Garden

On Saturday June 16 a dozen young men and women of the California Conservation Corps – Los Padres Center, based in San Luis Obispo, arrived ready to work at the Blue C Community Garden.  They did a fantastic job removing the weeds that had built up in the garden from the spring rains and hauling old pieces of wood, broken chairs and picnic tables to the front of the property so it could be hauled away.  All of their time was donated.  They were all rewarded with lunch at Sylvester’s.
