Extreme Green Car Show to be featured at the 2012 conference October 20-21

New this year for the CCBioneers conference is our first Extreme Green Car Show, which will take place Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express parking lot, across the street from conference headquarters at the Monday Club. Why is this car show Extreme?  Because only cars already meeting or exceeding the 2025 fuel efficiency rules of 54.5 MPG or equivalent are being given a spot. As we face ever-rising gas prices, the threat of imminent arctic drilling and even Channel Island drilling, the ability of these cars’ technology to reduce our demand for oil is a bright ray of hope. These are not your parents’ golf carts, they are fast, fun to drive, have ever-widening ranges and charge more quickly than ever. Some test driving will be available. Our lineup includes a 2013 Ford C-Max Energi, a 2013 Ford Focus EV, a 2013 Toyota RAV4 EV, a 2012 Toyota Prius Plug-in, a 2013 Chevy Volt EV, a 2012 Nissan Leaf SL, a 2012 Honda Civic NG and a 2010 Tesla Roadster (which has a cameo appearance in the film Looper). This is a free event at conference.
