Rare chance to attend a Peace Circle training

Sought after trainer, facilitator and speaker Evelyn Zellerer, PhD, will be conducting two beginning Peace Circle trainings in conjunction with the 2018 Central Coast Bioneers Conference.  The trainings will be held from 9 am to 5 pm on November 2 and November 4 in San Luis Obispo.

Peace Circles are an intentionally-designed, yet flexible methodology for productive communication and creating change.  “Circles draw upon ancient wisdom and modern science to bring about sustainable change,” explains Dr. Zellerer.  Her workshops show how Circles can be used in a variety of settings and for different purposes, including dialogue, decision-making, strategic planning, relationship building, conflict resolution, restorative justice, and healing.

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. Zellerer is Founder and Director of Peace of the Circle and has worked with groups all over the world in government, justice systems, schools, communities and workplaces.  More information can be found at www.peaceofthecircle.com.

Doreen Liberto, a partner with San Luis Obispo-based Earth Design International, attended one of Dr. Zellerer’s Peace Circle trainings.  Doreen mediates multi-stakeholder land use and environmental conflicts and found Peace Circles to be “a powerful new tool in my toolbox to resolve conflicts.”

The rise of extremism and hate crimes both in the U.S. and around the world is profoundly disturbing.  How can civilized people effectively respond?  How do we get past the endless loop of “we’re right and they’re wrong?”
