Starting a Nonprofit Through Fiscal Sponsorship
Do you have a new program you want to launch and pilot before investing time and resources into a formal nonprofit incorporation? Do you need to secure donations or grants for a community project, but don’t want to jump through the hoops of becoming a 501(c) (3)? Are you a for-profit corporation that wants to start a charitable program?
Fiscal sponsorship is an IRS-accepted way of accepting tax-deductible donations for your organization or project via an already-established 501(c) (3) organization.
Stacey Hunt, CEO of Ecologistics and Michael Jencks, Esq., former Board Chair of Ecologistics will present Starting a Nonprofit Through Fiscal Sponsorship on Wednesday, March 23 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at SPOKES in San Luis Obispo. Ecologistics currently fiscally sponsors nine organizations in a variety of ways. Ms. Hunt and Mr. Jencks will answer your questions regarding this simple and effective way to get your charitable work launched.
Visit the SPOKES website for more information and to register for the class (open to SPOKES members and nonmembers).
