The Salinas River needs your help now!

262 RVs parked on 6 acres in the Salinas River flood plain in Atascadero?  That’s what the Planning Commission approved on July 18th.  David Broadwater, the SLO Beaver Brigade and Biodiversity First! are fighting back.  They have filed appeals and supplements opposing the project with the Atascadero City Council.  The Council will conduct a hearing on those appeals at its Oct. 10 meeting.

The appeals and supplements are posted on the SLO Beaver Brigade website:
http://www.slobeaverbrigade.com/2023/07/12/262-rvs-stored-in-the-floodplain/  There, you can learn about the plan, the problems it poses, why it is being opposed, and how to write and speak to the City Council.  Will you join the struggle to protect this precious source of water, life, recreation and beauty?  It’s been subjected to abuse and neglect for too long and must stop.
