Seismic testing discussion added to CCBioneers lineup
A presentation on the controversial high intensity sonic blasting planned by PG&E to search for underwater earthquake faults has been added to an afternoon workshop to be presented by Mothers for Peace at the Central Coast Bioneers Conference. The workshop, entitled Unacceptable: Living in a Nuclear Evacuation Zone will take place on Saturday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. as part of the afternoon workshop series for the conference. While Mothers for Peace supports gathering seismic information about faults that may threaten the integrity of Diablo Canyon, the organization also shares the concerns of many local citizens about the extensive harm to marine life if the studies are carried out using the methods proposed. Please come and be part of this important discussion.
